About the role
- Teach the fundamentals of Data Engineering to beginners (beginner level) using Python, SQL, and ETL workflows
- Support participants during hands-on exercises and real-world data projects
- Collaborate closely with our Learning and Career teams to ensure an engaging, practice-oriented training experience
- (Optional) Actively contribute to curriculum development and the continuous improvement of learning materials based on current market trends
- Support participants in preparing for job applications and transitioning into their new tech roles
- (Optional) Assist with updating teaching materials and resources for future cohorts
Requirements
- Degree or completed vocational training in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a comparable technical field
- At least 2 years of practical professional experience in Data Engineering, data analysis, or backend development
- Solid knowledge of and confident hands-on experience with Python and SQL
- Demonstrated expertise in data processing (data wrangling), ideally with Pandas/NumPy
- Practical experience with ETL concepts, data modeling, and working with various databases
- Strong communication skills and a passion for conveying complex topics in an accessible, practice-oriented way
- German language skills at B2 level or above (very good English skills are also welcome)
- (Optional) Experience in teaching, mentoring, or curriculum development
