About the role

  • Work at Preservica, a world-leader in digital preservation software used by businesses, archives, libraries, museums and government organisations
  • Hybrid role based in Abingdon with regular monthly office days and local commuting requirement
  • Work as part of a Scrum team responsible for DevOps activities for new product development
  • Lead and evolve DevOps practices across dev, test, prod environments
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, migrations, and upgrades
  • Design and maintain scalable, resilient, secure AWS/Azure environments
  • Develop monitoring and alerting strategies in collaboration with CloudOps
  • Write and maintain documentation and share knowledge across teams
  • Support production incident response alongside the operations team

Requirements

  • Proven DevOps engineering experience (senior-level or above)
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Azure and SaaS platforms
  • Solid Linux and Windows system administration experience
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and Ansible
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Automation-first DevOps practices focus
  • Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, highly organised, able to multitask and prioritise
  • Experience working in Scrum teams
