About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements on both the sales and purchasing side and also in a collaborative R&D context.
Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile.
Advising on general legal (and commercial) queries from the business, managing work flows and providing timely solutions.
Legal Research.
Creation of guidance and tool kits for the business.
Providing training to the business on a range of legal areas, and company policies and procedures.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A qualified solicitor in England & Wales, ideally 1-3 years PQE.
Strong subject knowledge in contract and commercial law (including GDPR/ ABC), and experience of IP and IT law.
Demonstrable experience of leading negotiations and providing specialist/technical advice to managers to resolve immediate issues.
Proactive, driven and self-confident, adaptable and able to cope with ambiguity, changing and evolving priorities in a busy department.
Ability to work autonomously and have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
Experience in delivering an in-house legal service is desirable but not essential.
