About the role

  • Lead and own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely global reporting under US GAAP.
  • Oversee and approve account reconciliations, journal entries, consolidation adjustments, and accounting schedules prepared by the team.
  • Manage global consolidations across multiple international entities, including intercompany transactions and eliminations.
  • Prepare and review higher‑level corporate journal entries, balance sheet schedules, and management reporting support.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Procurement to ensure completeness and accuracy across all subledgers.
  • Lead external audit and tax processes, including preparation of support and direct engagement with auditors and tax advisors.
  • Maintain, strengthen, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls across all entities.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes, automate workflows, and improve efficiency within the close cycle.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop accounting team members, supporting a culture of growth, accountability, and excellence.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with global department leaders to support initiatives, process improvements, and system enhancements.
  • Execute on special projects, including system implementations, integration of new entities, and financial readiness for PE‑backed scaling requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
  • Progressive accounting experience, with several years in a senior, supervisory, or controller‑level role.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including US GAAP and multi‑entity consolidations.
  • International accounting experience required, with hands‑on involvement in global consolidations and intercompany processes.
  • Experience working in a private‑equity–backed environment required, including exposure to PE reporting, controls, and scaling expectations.
  • Experience in the SaaS or software industry strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing external audit and tax processes and communicating directly with third‑party providers.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and strong Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to operate with flexibility in a changing environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships across finance and operations.
  • A proactive, self‑motivated approach with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, semi-remote environment.
