About the role

  • Champion Developer Experience: Treat our engineering team as your VIP customer. Build tools and platforms that remove bottlenecks and allow developers to self-serve infrastructure safely.
  • Optimization & Velocity: Implementation of CI/CD pipelines and environments that directly improve our DORA metrics (Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes).
  • Infrastructure as Code: Design, implement, and manage our AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes (EKS) to ensure stability, scalability, and reliability.
  • Code-First Approach: Write code (scripting, automation, or application patches) to solve infrastructure problems.
  • Reliability & Scale: Ensure our rapidly scaling Vet SaaS platform remains performant and highly-available as we grow.
  • Collaborate & Mentor: Work closely with Backend and Frontend engineers to integrate features and uphold engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) in production environments
  • Strong proficiency with Terraform for managing infrastructure
  • Comfortable reading and writing code (PHP/Laravel experience is a massive plus but not a hard requirement, Python/Go works too)
  • Proven track record of improving developer workflows and reducing ramp-up time for new hires
  • Experience working in fast-paced startups or scale-ups, with the ability to adapt and deliver in evolving environments
