About the role

  • Conduct client meetings to capture technical and functional requirements
  • Develop migration strategy concepts (including technical designs, data flow, and mapping) and coordinate/obtain approval from stakeholders (Value Center)
  • Analyze sites to be migrated, including identification of custom features, workflows, taxonomies, PowerApps, and sensitivity labels
  • Create PowerShell scripts to automate reporting, export/import of users from O365 groups, and sensitivity label analyses
  • Use and customize ShareGate reporting features to monitor and validate migrations
  • Build and configure the migration environment (SharePoint/OneDrive, Azure, network, permissions)
  • Execute carve-out and merger scenarios using ShareGate and Apps4Pro
  • Automate migration processes with PowerShell and the ShareGate API
  • Analyze and resolve errors using ShareGate logs (practical experience with log interpretation required)
  • Reconstruct faulty or incompletely migrated sites when necessary
  • Perform and validate OneDrive migrations analogous to SharePoint
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements (e.g., MFA, Conditional Access, GDPR)
  • Conduct post-migration testing and document actions taken and lessons learned
  • Work remotely with occasional on-site client meetings

Requirements

  • Business-fluent English (project language)
  • Degree in (business) informatics, computer science, or a comparable qualification
  • At least 3 years of practical experience with migrations of SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams using ShareGate
  • Experience with tenant-to-tenant migrations (cloud) as well as OnPrem ↔ Cloud scenarios
  • Deep understanding of Office 365, Azure AD, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance
  • Strong PowerShell skills for automation and error analysis
  • Practical experience troubleshooting based on ShareGate logs (hands-on, not only theoretical)
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and Azure AD Connect
  • Strong customer and solution orientation with strategic foresight
  • Structured, independent working style and excellent communication skills
