About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct covert surveillance, including vehicle and foot pursuits, to collect video evidence for fraud investigations
- Collect video evidence of assigned subjects during their day-to-day activities
- Follow individuals in the community and vehicles through traffic
- Blend into the background at multiple locations
- Maintain undercover surveillance positions with vigilance
- Collaborate with Field Operations to craft pre-surveillance strategies
- Review tactics and report subject activity
- Submit evidence footage using internal resources
- Complete case reports efficiently
- Provide court testimony as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must currently live in Syracuse, NY or surrounding area
- Open availability, including weekends and holidays
- Average 50 hours per week
- Ability to start work as early as 5am daily, with occasional evening work
- Ability to pass DMV check and background check
- Confident driving skills
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight on remote assignments as needed
- Accountability for working under minimal supervision
- Adaptability to blend in while undercover in any location and activity
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Ability to drive long distances
- Ability to maintain surveillance positions in hot or cold environments
- Ability to conduct foot pursuits
- Frequent video camera use
- Typing and viewing a laptop monitor
- No PI license required
