About the role
- Build high‑quality, accessible Edge Delivery blocks for Universal Editor and document‑based authoring on AEM Sites or DA sites.
- Add production‑grade interactivity and motion.
- Create authoring templates that make block usage repeatable.
- Design and build blocks (HTML, CSS, JS [ES modules]) with options and variants.
- Set up local dev with AEM CLI; run preview and publish with Sidekick.
- Optimize for Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse.
- Create and maintain authoring templates (sections, block placeholders, Metadata tables) for Universal Editor and document authoring.
- Wire templates to Sidekick create flows.
- Add images and video using AEM Assets or Dynamic Media.
- Implement interactivity and animations: micro‑interactions, scroll‑based reveals, carousels, tabs, accordions, modals.
- Pair with QA to create Playwright tests and baseline accessibility checks.
Requirements
- Expert HTML semantics, CSS architecture, modern JS (modules, fetch, async)
- Edge Delivery block anatomy, DOM targeting, inferred elements
- Universal Editor and document authoring basics; content modeling for blocks
- Animation and interaction patterns
- GitHub workflows and code review discipline
- Accessibility and web performance: rendering path, image optimization, lazy loading, CWV
- Nice to have: AEM Sites basics; HTL/Sling awareness for migration parity
- Nice to have: Playwright, Lighthouse CI, axe‑core
- Nice to have: Experience with forms
