About the role

  • Installs, debugs and provides technical maintenance for product and component hardware and software, mainly on customer premises.
  • Provides scheduled inspection, cleaning and other services and performs minor product repairs within an assigned territory.
  • Inspects products for correct operation and resolves noted issues and/or escalates according to established procedure.
  • Schedules services, completes required paperwork and works with customers to ensure satisfaction and understanding of product functionality.
  • Troubleshoots hardware and software failures using diagnostic tools; performs component-level repairs.
  • Cleans and adjusts mechanical components; configures and installs software.
  • Performs preventive maintenance, refills consumables, and completes IMAC/R (installs, moves, adds, changes and removes hardware/software).
  • Instructs and trains customers on usage; participates in trainings and implementation of measures to achieve KPIs; assists with special projects.

Requirements

  • Education or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Field Services.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Driver's license and driving record that satisfies DN's fleet requirements.
  • PC literacy and good knowledge and application of the relevant tools and methods.
  • Product knowledge of relevant industry and basic ITIL skills preferred.
  • Ability to attend training classes in Canton, Ohio for 1-2 weeks, paid training, multiple trainings.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy loads, stand most of the day, climb, bend and stoop while working on equipment.
  • Acceptance of exposure to the outside elements.
  • Shift adaptability, including on-call rotation for evenings and weekends.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to organize and inventory truck stock parts and tools.
  • Sense of urgency, organizational skills, professional presence and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to pass MVR, background and drug test where required.
  • Firstline Service Technician work experience preferred.
  • Vocational/Trade School preferred.
