About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Think critically, strategically and creatively about Alumni Engagement program tasks and processes
  • Support yearly engagement, financial and participation goals
  • Coordinate virtual, regional and on-campus programs and events for alumni, parents and other constituents
  • Create online registration forms and manage registration databases
  • Create event materials and prepare pre- and post-event reporting
  • Manage event revenue, registration support, housing and guest support
  • Work with the Alumni Engagement team during Homecoming & Family Weekend and Alumni Weekend
  • Assist with student and staff training for major programs
  • Manage Alumni Engagement volunteers, including coding, stewardship and communications
  • Coordinate Alumni Council on-campus meetings and communications
  • Manage Dickinson Alumni social media accounts, including content creation and scheduling
  • Provide customer service through department phone lines, email accounts and on-campus programs
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, create agendas and meeting minutes, and perform data entry
  • Serve as a resource for department initiatives and assist with additional division projects
  • Perform night and weekend work as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to work thoughtfully in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, tact, maturity, and discretion
  • Comfort learning and managing new technologies
  • Ability to handle confidential materials and situations with sensitivity and discretion
  • Ability to manage multiple activities/projects concurrently
