About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide leadership and oversight of all financial operations and accounting functions.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with nonprofit accounting standards and GAAP.
- Maintain strong internal controls and financial accountability.
- Coordinate annual audits and relationships with external auditors.
- Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and the Board.
- Lead organizational administration and operational infrastructure.
- Evaluate and improve systems, workflows, and organizational processes.
- Strengthen organizational accountability, communication, and operational effectiveness.
- Oversee vendor relationships, facilities coordination, and administrative services.
- Develop scalable systems that support long-term organizational growth and sustainability.

- Partner with outsourced HR providers regarding employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, policies, and HR best practices.

Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Nonprofit Leadership, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in finance, administration, operations, or nonprofit leadership.
- Experience overseeing accounting operations, budgeting, audits, and organizational systems.
- Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles, financial reporting, and operational stewardship.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and process-improvement experience.
- Proficiency with accounting systems, reporting tools, and advanced Excel.
