About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct suicide risk and crisis assessments (including C-SSRS and other clinical tools)
- Triage and manage high-risk and urgent mental health cases in a high-volume environment
- Provide crisis intervention, safety planning and de-escalation support
- Determine risk level and appropriate clinical pathway (internal or external escalation), coordination with emergency/community resources
- Collaborate with medical, nursing, and primary care teams for continuity of care
- Maintain clear, accurate, and clinically sound documentation
- Support member navigation to appropriate services
- Contribute to continuous improvement of crisis and triage protocols
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bilingual in English and French, both written and spoken
- Bachelor's degree in a mental health or human relations field
- 2+ years of intervention experience as a social worker (or similar role) with a population presenting with challenges related to mental health including being comfortable with psychosocial assessments
- Available to work a minimum of 8 hours per week including weeknights and weekends
- Very good knowledge of community and institutional resources
- Desire to work in an environment that encourages autonomy, professionalism and versatility
