About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex architectural projects, overseeing planning, technical production, and contract administration
  • Translate client, stakeholder, and community aspirations into innovative architectural responses rooted in sustainability and performance
  • Lead the exploration and resolution of complex design and technical challenges, ensuring clarity of design intent throughout delivery
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate architecture, structure, and building systems into cohesive solutions
  • Support and lead project pursuits, including RFQs, RFPs, fee proposals, and work planning
  • Partner with DIALOG leadership to support design focused client relationships and represent design intent with authorities having jurisdiction
  • Mentor, inspire, and grow teams while advancing design quality, emerging methodologies, and inclusive studio culture

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12+ years of experience leading large-scale projects (>$100M construction value); experience in Aviation or other technical building typologies is an asset
  • Professional degree in Architecture required; master’s degree and registration (or eligibility) preferred
  • Proven design leader capable of directing multidisciplinary teams through conceptual, technical, and sustainability-driven decisions
  • Strong understanding of Revit and BIM platforms with the ability to provide strategic oversight of design workflows
  • Experience supporting project pursuits (RFQs, RFPs, fee proposals)
  • Organized, decisive leader with excellent client communication and risk management skills
  • LEED AP or similar sustainability credentials considered an asset
