About the role
- Educational support – Providing care, support and guidance to male children and adolescents according to their individual developmental and support needs, and promoting everyday living skills
- Taking responsibility – Designing and implementing the pedagogical concept and coordinating educational activities
- Relationship building – Establishing professional relationships with the children and adolescents and working closely with their families of origin
- Coordination and cooperation – Close collaboration with partners such as hospitals, doctors, therapists, youth welfare offices and schools
- Development – Contributing to conceptual development, participating in cross-group working teams and promoting team development
Requirements
- A pedagogical qualification: e.g. trained educator, curative-education nurse (Heilerziehungspfleger), or a degree in Social Work, Social Pedagogy or a comparable qualification
- Experience in residential care, particularly working with traumatized children and adolescents
- Willingness to work shift patterns including 24-hour duties and to take on responsibility
- Clear communication, resilience in difficult situations and a professional demeanor both within the team and when dealing with external agencies
- Familiarity with documentation and reporting – structured working methods are essential to you
