About the role

  • Provide professional and managerial oversight of the residential group
  • Provide pedagogical counseling and care services within the facility
  • Personnel responsibility for eight staff members (recruitment, hiring, staff support and development)
  • Facilitate and organize weekly team meetings and team planning sessions/retreats
  • Contribute to, implement and further develop the facility’s concept, service delivery and quality standards
  • Responsible for pedagogical placement, program design and the structuring of the facility
  • Implement care plans, service agreements and catalogs of measures in cooperation with funding agencies/payers
  • Responsible for the budget and ensuring the facility’s financial viability and capacity utilization
  • Create duty rosters and manage vacation planning

Requirements

  • A completed qualification as an educator (Erzieher/in) or curative-education practitioner (Heilerziehungspfleger/in) with state recognition, or a completed degree in Social Work/Social Pedagogy with state recognition, or an equivalent qualification
  • Enthusiasm for leading and developing the facility and its staff
  • Team-building and team leadership skills
  • Empathy, motivation, resilience under pressure and a sense of humor
  • Appreciation for the freedoms and advantages of shift work (flexible rostering model)
  • Hold a Class B driving license (for use of the company vehicle during working hours)
  • Good IT skills in common office software
