About the role
- Item intake and maintenance – initial identification and assessment of items for online platforms
- Evaluating items for online platforms – research and price determination
- Defining item condition – condition descriptions and wording
- Listing items via database and directly on platforms, basic image editing and product descriptions
- Support with organizational and administrative tasks
- Order processing for online shops
- Structuring and organizing online platforms
- Order acceptance and processing
- Monitoring incoming payments, printing invoices, printing labels
- Payment requests, payment reminders, dunning notices, cancellations
- Shipping, returns and refunds, international shipping & customs declarations
- Shipping preparation & packing, packaging techniques and filling materials
- Packaging labeling, tagging, special requirements
- Customer communication – customer messages and inquiries, complaints (email)
- Text modules, standard formulations, style of communication
- Structure and maintenance of the online inventory
- Answering and forwarding telephone calls
- Handling general email correspondence
- Organizing and maintaining office filing
- Creating and updating signage for the sales floor
- Representing and assisting in the sales area as required
Requirements
- Personal commitment and enjoyment in interacting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Ideally some experience in online retail, e.g. eBay Classifieds, eBay
- Preferably completed commercial vocational training (business administration)
- High sense of responsibility and ability to work independently
- Conscientious, reliable and autonomous working style
- Ability to work well in a team
- Willingness to support the organization’s diaconal mission
