About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Quickly understand the customer's needs and pain points to design and implement solutions
Work with new prospective customers who are looking to use open-source Dapr in their solutions
Onboard customers to Diagrid products
Create and deliver customer demos
Build Proof of Concept (PoC) solutions in various programming languages
Provide architecture guidance on a broad set of technologies in the Cloud Native space
Use expert knowledge of cloud engineering and system design to help customers with distributed system challenges
Bring knowledge and insights from real world customer engagements to impact Diagrid products
Work with sales to identify potential Dapr opportunities
Inform leadership team of customer pain points and opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years in a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Developer Advocate, or similar technical customer-facing role
Excellent customer engagement and communication skills
Experience in designing and building enterprise applications and solutions
Solid understanding of computer science principles with a focus on distributed systems
Solid developer experience in at least one of Java, .NET or Go
Good experience with Node and Python
Ability to shift priorities quickly and adapt to changing circumstances
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker or other container based systems
Bonus: experience with public cloud provider(s)
Bonus: experience with developer frameworks including .ASP.NET Core, Express, Django, Spring Boot
Bonus: Experience contributing to open source software
Bonus: experience with Dapr (http://dapr.io)
