About the role
- Develop and drive the FinOps strategy, aligning cloud financial goals with broader organizational objectives
- Develop and handle public cloud spending budgets and create accurate financial forecasts that integrate with the company's overall financial planning
- Implement transparent cost allocation and "showback/chargeback" models to distribute cloud costs to specific teams, departments, and business units
- Create and maintain financial models to predict cloud costs, track spending against budgets, and analyze cost trends and anomalies
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with cloud service providers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and discounts
- Translate complex financial data into meaningful business insights, often by building dashboards and reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a finance or an engineering field (e.g. Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics)
- 6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, Cloud FinOps, financial governance, or business analysis
- 3+ years leadership experience leading global multi-functional teams
- Outstanding written, visual representation, and verbal communication skills
- Experience with automating manual processes through systems requirements analysis, design and documentation
- Demonstrated success working with product/engineering, finance and other cross-functional teams to drive change and impact
- Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills; flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
- Passion for customer service and commitment to delivering high-quality results
