About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in root cause analysis for design and manufacturing issues at the PCB/PCBA and system level
  • Research, select, qualify and maintain electronic components that are used in the product
  • Contribute on the design, development, testing, and transfer of products to manufacturing
  • Create schematics and PCB layouts; manage prototype fabrication and assembly with external vendors
  • Investigate PCB/PCBA quality concerns and work with contract manufacturers to drive improvements
  • Perform hands-on lab measurements and circuit analysis to diagnose and resolve issues
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to review design, manufacturing procedures, or quality related issues
  • Apply principles and techniques of electrical engineering to analyze failures to improve design or manufacturing processes
  • Participate in human factor / usability and design validation process
  • Participate in risk management analysis and documentation
  • Responsible for design modification, new component qualification, design change test requirements, and design change documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required (preferred field of study: Electrical Engineering)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of electrical engineering (both analog and digital)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of low power embedded design
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Computer Aided Design
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of tools and instruments utilized in electrical engineering field
  • Familiarity with FDA guidelines on design and manufacturing of the medical devices is a plus
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
