Support Product Discovery: Assist in identifying user needs and pain points, particularly for individuals with accessibility challenges
Collaborate with Engineering & Design: Work closely with hardware engineers, industrial designers, and other stakeholders to define and refine product requirements
Support Business Case Development: Contribute to building the business case for new product concepts by synthesizing user insights, market data, and technical feasibility
Assist in Prototyping & Testing: Participate in concept evaluations, usability testing, and feedback synthesis to inform design iterations
Document Requirements & Insights: Translate user research and technical input into clear, actionable product requirements
Support Cross-Functional Alignment: Engage with regulatory, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance and feasibility
Participate in Development Planning: Join sprint reviews, PI planning, and other planning activities to align hardware development timelines and product priorities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful products in a regulated medical device environment
Requirements
Currently in your 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical), Industrial Design, or a related field
Strong interest in product management & hardware engineering
Curious, customer-focused mindset with a passion for healthcare innovation
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to synthesize technical and user feedback into actionable insights
Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with CAD tools, prototyping, or usability testing is a plus
Knowledge of diabetes care is helpful but not required
Able to work hybrid (3+ days per week) at Acton, MA headquarters
