About the role

  • Support forecasting and budgeting processes for managed care and market access initiatives.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly reporting on managed care financial metrics, including ASP (average selling price), gross-to-net, and rebate.
  • Analyze managed care contracts, rebates, and pricing models to assess financial impacts and opportunities.
  • Partner with the Market Access team to evaluate pricing strategies and reimbursement scenarios for new and existing products.
  • Conduct scenario planning and financial modeling to support request for proposals (RFPs), payer contract negotiations.
  • Provide insights on extended terms, and fee structures to optimize contract terms and profitability.
  • Serve as a key resource for understanding the financial implications of payer agreements and pricing strategies.
  • Work closely with Managed Care, Operations, and accounting teams to ensure alignment on managed care strategies.
  • Engage with Treasury and Accounting teams to address financial reporting and cash flow considerations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting and rebate reconciliation processes.
  • Leverage tools like Power BI, SAP, or other analytical platforms to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual workload and increase the accuracy of financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of finance experience, with a strong preference for pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience.
  • Deep understanding of managed care, including payer structures, rebate models, and gross-to-net calculations.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and proficient in analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, SAP, or similar systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
