About the role
- Research and develop robust glucose control algorithms for next-generation automated insulin delivery systems
- Design and assess new features and safety mitigations for AID algorithm and overall product
- Analyze clinical device data for algorithm development with proper statistical tools
- Execute research plans, simulations and experiments to capture clinical implications of new system features and safety mitigations
- Demonstrate clinical value of new features and capture key innovations into IP portfolios
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional groups and carry out additional duties to meet product timelines
Requirements
- B.S. or Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field and 5+ years experience
- Ph.D. preferred with 2+ years academic or industrial research experience related to control and signal processing, or data science
- Exceptional competence writing software to implement and evaluate research ideas
- Ability to translate research into real world applications
- Knowledge and experience in the field of diabetes technology (preferred)
- Experience in medical device industry (preferred)
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals, and/or professional conference presentations (preferred)
- Proficiency in multiple software languages: Matlab, Python, SQL, C/C++, Java
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative teamwork
