About the role
- Own Dexerto’s social video strategy across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
- Develop repeatable, scalable video formats designed to drive views, engagement, and shareability
- Identify and capitalise on trending, reactive, and evergreen content opportunities
- Set the creative direction and editorial tone for social-first video output
- Continuously refine formats based on performance data and platform trends
- Lead the creation and publishing of high-performing short-form video content
- Work closely with editors and producers to maintain speed, quality, and consistency
- Ensure all content meets high editorial and production standards aligned with Dexerto’s voice
- Balance reactive output with planned, repeatable content series
- Pioneer the use of AI tools to accelerate video production and unlock new creative formats
- Implement AI-assisted workflows to increase output and efficiency across teams
- Work with leadership to define Dexerto’s approach to AI content — balancing quality, credibility, and scale
- Identify entirely new content opportunities enabled by AI tooling
- Own the performance of social video output across key platforms
- Lead the monetisation strategy for Facebook video, identifying opportunities to maximise revenue
- Partner with Commercial teams to integrate branded content and paid partnerships into video output
- Track and report on performance metrics including views, engagement, retention, and revenue
- Optimise content strategy based on both audience and commercial performance
- Work closely with the YouTube and Video teams to repurpose long-form content for social
- Collaborate with Editorial to identify stories that translate into high-performing video
- Partner with Commercial teams to deliver standout branded video executions
- Align with platform leads across TikTok, Instagram, X, and YouTube to maximise distribution
- Contribute a video-first perspective to editorial and content planning
- Act as the internal expert on social video — setting best practices across formats, hooks, captions, and optimisation
- Upskill team members and elevate overall video output across the business
- Establish scalable workflows and processes to support increasing content volume
- Continuously push for innovation in format, storytelling, and execution
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in video content, social video, or digital media production
- Proven success building and scaling video content on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook
- Strong understanding of platform algorithms, audience behaviour, and content trends
- Hands-on video editing and production experience
- Experience experimenting with or implementing AI tools in content workflows
- A data-driven mindset with a strong instinct for what makes content perform
- Experience working cross-functionally with editorial, video, and commercial teams
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage high-output environments
- Deep understanding of gaming, streaming, and internet culture
