About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build cloud-based software systems, including APIs and websites, within a multidisciplinary Agile team
Gather and document technical requirements
Interface with product managers, technical support, and customers to understand needs, provide integration/onboarding and sustaining support, and share customer feedback
Select development approaches for uncertain and changing requirements
Collaborate with architects on technical design and feasibility studies, and provide implementation estimates
Develop software programs and systems aligned with user needs
Run tests and deliver high-quality software
Apply development, testing, and deployment best practices in an Agile environment
Optimize quality-management and business processes
Support product assurance in diagnosing and resolving bugs
Participate in an on-call rotation for applications

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 5–8 years of related experience, or Master’s degree and 2–5 years of equivalent industry experience, or PhD and 0–2 years of experience
Rich experience developing full-stack applications, preferably in a cloud environment such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Knowledge of modern authentication and SSO frameworks such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID, and/or SAML
Excellent programming skills in Kotlin, Java, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, Scala, or similar languages
Experience building frontend and backend applications using modern frameworks and technologies
Experience building frontend and backend applications in distributed systems using message brokers
Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, or DynamoDB, or RDBMS such as MySQL, Postgres, or Oracle
Familiarity with modern software testing tools and equipment
Experience building cloud-based container components and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working on components in a distributed environment
Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and manage time to meet schedules
Experience participating in Agile software development
Exposure to GitHub Actions, Helm, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform
Willingness to participate in an application on-call rotation
Travel requirement of 0–5%
