About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and develop end-to-end system test automation for Dexcom CGM products and ecosystems
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for CGM product and ecosystem functionality
  • Document software verification test protocols and software risk analysis for commercial-product software
  • Analyze failures and collaborate with development teams to investigate root causes
  • Participate in software requirements and design reviews
  • Review software requirements and design specifications
  • Modify test protocols when requirements change and execute regression validation
  • Create requirements traceability matrices demonstrating feature test coverage
  • Follow software development, cybersecurity, and validation procedures complying with medical and security regulations
  • Develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for SDK, firmware, apps, and server platforms
  • Execute software test plans, test protocols, and automated test scripts
  • Maintain test-result documentation to support debugging and software modification
  • Analyze test results and recommend corrective action
  • Consult with software development engineers to resolve problems
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 3 years of software development or software test development related experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with OOP languages such as Java and Python
  • Knowledge of API-based test development
  • Knowledge of Xcode and/or Android Studio
  • Understanding of good software development and testing practices
  • Excellent oral communication skills for interfacing with internal and external department peers
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 2–5 years of related experience, or Master’s degree with 0–2 years’ equivalent experience
  • Software development or test experience in the medical device industry is a plus
  • Familiarity with a network debugging tool such as Charles Proxy is a plus
  • Knowledge of Android and/or iOS devices, including debugging, installation, and configuration, is a plus
  • Must live within commuting distance of the assigned Dexcom site, typically 75 miles/120 km
  • Ability to follow software development, cybersecurity, and validation procedures complying with medical and security regulations
  • Travel required: 0–5%
