About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide instruction and support to DeVry University's Advantage Academy high school population
- Teach courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements
- Develop course syllabi and lesson plans
- Apply teaching techniques to achieve course and programmatic objectives
- Facilitate student learning through face-to-face interaction blended with online discussions and assignments
- Develop and provide approved course syllabi containing terminal course objectives
- Organize, prepare, regularly revise, and update course materials
- Use websites, email, online discussions, and course-related software to prepare and deliver courses
- Model effective oral and written communication
- Set course expectations, objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weightings
- Ensure exams align with course terminal objectives
- Prepare and grade exams consistently and fairly, providing timely student feedback
- Integrate responsible AI technologies to enhance teaching and learning
- Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctoral degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the subject being taught
- Unofficial graduate-level transcripts must be uploaded with the application
- Degree must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an internationally equivalent accredited institution
- Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply
