About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide instruction and support to DeVry University's Advantage Academy high school population
  • Facilitate student learning by teaching courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements
  • Develop course syllabi and lesson plans and apply teaching techniques to achieve course and programmatic objectives
  • Develop and provide approved course syllabi with terminal course objectives
  • Organize, prepare, regularly revise, and update course materials
  • Use online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions
  • Set course expectations, assignment and examination dates, evaluation categories, and grading weights
  • Ensure exams align with course terminal objectives
  • Prepare and grade exams consistently and fairly and provide timely student feedback
  • Integrate responsible AI technologies in the classroom
  • Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the subject being taught is required
  • Unofficial graduate-level transcripts must be uploaded with the application
  • Degree must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an internationally equivalent accredited institution
  • Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply
