About the role
- Learn clients' systems, understand business scope, write test cases, execute them, and document results
- Create large datasets and validate outcomes; perform heavy data testing, interface and integration testing
- Work collaboratively with a team focused on getting high-quality software deployed
- Provide people care responsibility: set goals and provide performance feedback for other individual contributors
- Potential to perform some automation testing
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required; must be able to obtain CBP Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 10 years of experience as a manual tester, automated tester, or other IT-related role
- Experience with creating test plans based on gathered requirements and documenting test results
- Experience working with data-focused testing, such as creating sets of data, pulling, and reviewing output
- Working knowledge of issue/bug tracking tools (such as Jira)
- Strong experience with writing SQL to query data from databases and understanding of relational databases
- Proven ability to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded
- Proven experience in picking up new technology quickly and a desire to learn and progress
- Interest in learning what the system does and why
- Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate feedback clearly, listen, and respond to concerns
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Preferred: Experience working with a government client
- Preferred: People care management experience
