About the role
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain moderately complex to complex PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, and packages.
- Create, modify, and support Oracle database objects, including tables, materialized views, triggers, synonyms, user-defined types, nested tables, and collections.
- Write, analyze, and optimize SQL queries to support high-volume data processing and reporting.
- Perform performance tuning, debugging, and issue resolution for PL/SQL code in development and production environments.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to implement new functionality and refine existing solutions.
- Translate technical and functional requirements into accurate data reports using tools such as Crystal Reports.
- Contribute to business process analysis, system enhancements, and the development of reusable database components and conversion routines.
- Follow established database standards, security requirements, and best practices, while providing input on improvements where appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting Oracle databases using PL/SQL.
- Demonstrated experience working as a PL/SQL Developer in a production environment.
- Experience developing reports using Crystal Reports.
- Proficiency with Oracle development tools such as Oracle SQL Developer and/or TOAD.
- Ability to independently develop, maintain, and troubleshoot efficient and secure database objects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
