About the role

  • Client Relationship Representative for Trade clients on day-to-day trade related activities
  • Servicing clients: Advising Trade clients and setting up of non-standardized Trade transactions (e.g. Wording for Guarantees)
  • Answering all kinds of product related questions before product is issued
  • Discuss workability issues which need to be discussed with the client
  • Check and improve transaction application, documents discrepancies as provided by Trade Operation Team
  • Negotiated the pricing with clients and get the approval
  • Manage/update client profile and TF client scoring card in central repository application for reference to internal stakeholders
  • Transaction Monitoring, ensuring transactions are a good fit for the client
  • Coordinate with Business Partners to solve the trade finance related matter (TF Operations, CRM, Legal, Compliance etc)
  • Enquiry and client complaint management
  • Comply with Internal & Regulatory Risk and Control Guidelines
  • Drive continuous improvement activities for area of accountability leading to operational efficiencies’
  • Monitor the service quality, productivity and turnaround time according to the agreed SLA with Trade Operation Team and customers
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports if any to Finance, Compliance and Regulators
  • Participate in the projects and initiatives implemented by Relationship & Transactions Management (RTM)
  • Train the junior staff to deliver the client service duties
  • Provide product knowledge transfer and development plan to junior staff
  • Incident management thru proper escalation to the focal point of contact at outsourcing branch

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related disciplines
  • Minimum 3 years of solid experience in Trade Finance area, especially Documentary Trade with knowledge of product associated risks e.g. compliance, transaction monitoring
  • In-depth knowledge of trade operations cycle
  • Proficient in UCPDC, ISBP, URDG rules & guidelines
  • Exposure to process improvement projects is an advantage
  • A self-starter, able to demonstrate good levels of initiative and motivation
  • Being a good team player is essential in this role
  • Must be able to multi-task and keep calm under pressure
  • Excellent knowledge of managing Microsoft office
  • Business oriented, enterprising and inquisitive in a new way of doing things
  • Good oral and written communication skills and meticulous
  • Fluent in English
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain a good professional relationship with external and internal contacts
  • Can accept particular work day arrangement due to business needs (off-shore clients)
