  • **What You’ll Do**
  • · Act as the technical authority within the procurement team evaluating suppliers based on manufacturing capability aerospace standards and production maturity
  • · Work hands on with suppliers during part development and industrialization ensuring designs are robust manufacturable and ready for series production
  • · Review and challenge manufacturing processes tooling choices materials and tolerances to optimize cost quality and lead time
  • · Translate engineering drawings specifications and requirements into clear actionable supplier documentation
  • · Support make or buy decisions by assessing technical feasibility production risks and cost drivers
  • · Lead technical discussions with suppliers during RFQs supplier selection and contract award phases
  • · Drive cost reduction initiatives through design for manufacturability value engineering and process optimization
  • · Collaborate closely with design engineering production quality and supply chain teams to align technical and commercial objectives

Requirements

  • **What You’ll Need**
  • **Must-Have**
  • · Engineering degree in mechanical aerospace industrial or a related field
  • · 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environments with direct exposure to production and industrialization.
  • · Proven track record working with suppliers on technical topics including manufacturing processes materials and cost optimization
  • · Strong ability to read interpret and challenge technical drawings specifications and tolerances
  • · Deep understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining sheet metal composites or assembly
  • · Experience supporting supplier qualification audits first article inspections and production ramp ups
  • · Ability to identify cost drivers and lead design for manufacturability and value engineering initiatives
  • · Comfortable leading technical discussions with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • · Experience working in regulated environments with strict quality and documentation requirements
  • · Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on mindset in production driven settings
  • · English and Dutch fluency since it's our working language.
