About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support plant operations by driving lean manufacturing initiatives and maintaining the integrity of the quality management system
  • Contribute to improving process efficiency and ensuring product quality
  • Support continuous improvement efforts through cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Materials teams
  • Develop and implement standard work instructions for production and safety using Squint
  • Create and maintain inspection plans for machining operations using High QA
  • Update and improve machining job setup documentation to enhance consistency and reduce variation
  • Manage and maintain gage inventory systems
  • Design and develop 3D models and prototypes using SolidWorks and additive manufacturing
  • Conduct Gauge R&R and process capability studies
  • Assist in implementation of new equipment, including process validation and documentation development
  • Design and improve tools and fixtures to support manufacturing efficiency and quality

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Continued education in a 4-year degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering (Or other related field of study)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and contribute to a positive, team-oriented manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze issues and implement effective solutions with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for data analysis, documentation, and reporting
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixturing, and material applications
  • Effective communicator with the ability to clearly convey technical information both verbally and in writing.
