Application Engineer

• The Associate Applications Engineer, is responsible for assisting in the tasks of providing customer product application assistance, technical support, proposal drawings, special designs or modifications to existing products via phone or email including inside/outside sales and customer service.
• S/he works in conjunction with Application Engineers to provide customer assistance for product applications.
• For orders received, s/he would be responsible for supporting customer design reviews, creating and releasing designs to manufacturing and final product documentation under the guidance of an Applications Engineer.
• S/he possesses lower-level CAD experience and is on a path to complete proficiency.

Associate Applications Engineer

Engineer

• Develops and calculates quotations based on established pricing practices.
• Issues quotations based on standard lead times of quotation delivery based on complexity of the request and established KPI’s.
• Communicates special quotes, price sheet interpretation, delivery and other necessary sales and marketing information.
• Determines costs for modified products and special manufactured related items.
• Verifies and validates price breakouts on quotations to ensure proper gross-profit.
• Assesses most price effective proposal based on customer requirements and may propose other products based on customer budget constraints.
• Performs engineering product sizing studies to determine best product for customer requirements.
• Suggests cost-cutting methods to improve upon standard procedures, price sheets and all other sales and marketing programs.
• Interfaces effectively with internal and external contacts to provide excellent customer satisfaction.
• Supports sales and product engineers, providing accurate account information, analysis and feedback as the business needs develop and change.
• Collaborates across the global organization as required, working with other customer service representatives, technical support, sales, field service, product and applications engineering to meet customer needs and deliver superior customer service.
• Develops and maintains extensive knowledge of products, use, and application of materials.

QA Engineer

• The Quality Engineer supports the Quality Manager in implementing lean manufacturing processes and supports efforts in maintaining the quality management system.
• Additional responsibilities include supporting the Company’s quality initiatives by performing visual, and dimensional inspections coupled with documentation reviews to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
• This position has a key role in interacting effectively with the Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Materials Management.
• Will interact and work closely with other departments to resolve quality issues
• Implementing and maintaining standards of the Mt. Juliet Plant Quality Management System.
• Will be required to perform visual and dimensional measurement inspections, non-destructive product testing and be able to use handheld gauges
• Will be responsible for documenting, updating, and filling new and current quality documentation

Quality Engineer

• Provides high levels of customer service through accurate and timely response to customer order placement, credit requests, and other inquiries

Customer Service Representative

Software Engineer

• Support plant operations by driving lean manufacturing initiatives and maintaining the integrity of the quality management system
• Contribute to improving process efficiency and ensuring product quality
• Support continuous improvement efforts through cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Materials teams
• Develop and implement standard work instructions for production and safety using Squint
• Create and maintain inspection plans for machining operations using High QA
• Update and improve machining job setup documentation to enhance consistency and reduce variation
• Manage and maintain gage inventory systems
• Design and develop 3D models and prototypes using SolidWorks and additive manufacturing
• Conduct Gauge R&R and process capability studies
• Assist in implementation of new equipment, including process validation and documentation development

Engineering Intern

• Creates accurate CNC code for multiple machining centers using MasterCAM software
• Validates quality of CNC code digitally through the use of Vericut software
• Conducts prove-outs of CNC programs from setup through PPAP approval for production
• Produces and maintains all documentation and files required for the production process
• Able to design appropriate work holding solutions for processing assigned parts
• Ensures product quality by providing the Operations team with a production process that has been tested, deemed capable, and includes all of the necessary tools for production
• Assists setup personnel with process or tooling issues, recommending necessary fixturing and tooling used in manufacturing
• Analyzes and solves process and tool-related problems, ensuring or increasing productivity
• Continues to learn about new tooling, manufacturing and programming methods and implements improvements through appropriate testing
• Makes recommendations to modify or replace equipment when necessary to support demand or improve productivity
• Ensure integrity of prints, bills of material, setup sheets and routings
• Establishes and updates manufacturing standards (rates, BOM’s, etc.)
• Performs all work in a manner that ensures safety of self and others
• Complies with government regulations and managing environmental requirements
• Supports Destaco policies and procedures, including those governing the quality system as defined by ISO9001.
