About the role

  • Build and validate network models and perform analytical studies for utilityscale solar, wind, and storage projects: steady-state (power flow, reactive power/load flow), short-circuit/arc-flash, dynamic/transient stability, preliminary harmonics, and ampacity/thermal assessments.
  • Support interconnection requests and study processes by preparing inputs, reviewing study results from ISOs/RTOs and Engineers of Record (EOR), and crafting clear, decision-ready summaries.
  • Establish and maintain study templates, methods, and best practices for repeatable, high-quality delivery; peer-review IFC-level electrical studies and vendor submissions.
  • Interface with detailed-design counterparts on topics such as protection & controls, grounding, cable sizing/routing, SCADA/control schematics, and equipment specifications to ensure gridcode-compliant, constructible designs.
  • The candidate will be working closely with development team, project management and external consultants; contribute to schedules, risk registers, and technical exhibits for financing and permitting.

Requirements

  • B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 1-4 years, or M.Tech in Power Systems/Renewables with 1-2 years of relevant experience in utilityscale power projects.
  • Proficiency with power-system analysis tools (e.g., PSS®E/PSLF, PSCAD), short-circuit/arc-flash and protection tools (e.g., ETAP/SKM), grounding analysis (e.g., WinIGS/CDEGS), and cable ampacity tools (e.g., CYMCAP).
  • Familiarity with U.S. codes/standards (e.g., NEC 70) and utility/ISO study conventions; strong written communication for bottom-line, executive-ready reporting.
  • Training/coursework in protective relaying, symmetrical components, transmission-line theory, power-system transients, dynamic stability, and electromagnetics.
  • Experience reviewing EOR studies, contributing to interconnection applications, and coordinating across multiple technical disciplines and external stakeholders.
  • Candidate with knowledge of substation, HV transmission line design and calculations will be preferred.
Benefits
  • Health insurance
  • Professional development opportunities
