About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve, prospect for, solicit, develop and maintain business relationships with members and clients
  • Sell business products and services through multiple distribution channels based on member and client needs
  • Ensure businesses, associations and groups get the most out of their products and services and remain satisfied
  • Help the unit meet sales and business development objectives
  • Advise and assist members and clients
  • Represent Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements with clients
  • Establish and negotiate product and service terms in accordance with standards and procedures
  • Solicit, develop and maintain personalized business relationships to promote products and services
  • Identify and analyze member and client needs and refer them to the appropriate channel
  • Monitor the industry to identify business development opportunities
  • Participate actively in public relations activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 18-week internship
  • Enrolled in a program of study leading to a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to understand clients’ expressed needs
  • Interpersonal savvy
  • Ability to work with clients with specific needs
