About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and optimize security measures aligned with corporate objectives
Plan, implement and oversee best practices to strengthen Desjardins's security posture
Help develop the Desjardins Group Security Office's priorities and governance
Lead practitioners on development projects and innovative, complex, cross-sector strategic initiatives related to security
Develop and recommend strategic directions and business positions
Lead large-scale development projects, initiatives and activities in the area of expertise
Identify, develop and recommend security strategic directions balancing business needs, requirements and best practices
Advise clients and partners on positioning, planning, development, execution and monitoring of strategic projects and initiatives
Identify, analyze, report and diagnose major issues and recommend solutions to decision-making bodies
Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs
Offer security programs to internal employees to promote the organization's culture of ethics and compliance
Represent the unit before senior management committees and decision-making bodies
Represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements with external partners and organizations
Serve as an expert advisor, subject matter expert, resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
CISSP, GIAC SANS, or equivalent certification is an asset
Knowledge of French is required
Advanced proficiency in English, both oral and written
Ability to interact with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
