Oversee a team of claims advisors focused on proactive, positive communications to promote recovery from accident-related impairments
Make quality decisions, optimize work processes, and contribute to the organization’s strategic plan
Manage a portion of operations activities and ensure member/client satisfaction
Develop talent and drive results; manage people and performance
Support the immediate supervisor with work organization and operational planning for the team
Develop, implement, and track the team’s action plan, ensuring alignment with strategic orientations in a performance management context
Establish management and communication practices supporting change management, talent attraction and retention, skills development, employee engagement, and diversity
Define and ensure implementation of team service activities to maximize business results and member/client satisfaction
Support the administrative team’s action plan by managing individual and team performance
Model and promote Desjardins behaviours, cooperative values, and a member-client culture
Focus on indemnity accuracy and continuously improve results and outcomes under your responsibility
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of seven years of relevant experience, including two years of experience in management
Chartered Insurance Professional designation (CIP)
Casualty Insurance experience
Expert proficiency of English
Advanced knowledge of accident benefits, statutory accident benefits schedule (SABS), and INDEM system
