About the role
- Proactively hold one-on-one sales meetings using a consultative sales approach to identify needs, issues or opportunities to promote the right investment solution.
- Carry out a business plan for the area that focuses on deepening existing client relationships and engage in prospecting activities to expand the scope of Desjardins’s investment solutions.
- Consistently achieve and exceed minimum activity and sales objectives.
- Continually demonstrate efficient management and prioritization of prospects and area coverage.
- Maintain a solid understanding of Desjardins’s investment solutions, competitors and financial markets.
- Effectively use the sales tools provided (CRM, Excel to perform, monitor and analyze the effectiveness/impact of targeted sales campaigns, hypothetical illustration tools, financial calculators and Webex presentations).
- Carry out business development activities such as giving presentations at branch meetings, leading seminars for advisors and investors and attending dealer conferences.
- Represent Desjardins at industry-related events.
- Work with the regional sales advisor through effective, ongoing communication and area planning
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience, including five years in sales
- Canadian Investment Funds Course
- Knowledge of French is required
- Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
- Advanced knowledge of the financial services industry
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Available for frequent travel on Montreal’s South Shore
