About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and optimize security measures aligned with corporate objectives
  • Plan, implement and oversee security best practices to strengthen Desjardins's security posture
  • Develop the Desjardins Group Security Office's priorities and governance
  • Lead large-scale development projects, initiatives and activities in security
  • Identify, develop and recommend security strategic directions
  • Advise clients and partners on strategic projects and initiatives
  • Identify, analyze, report and diagnose major issues and recommend solutions
  • Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs
  • Offer security programs to internal employees to promote ethics and compliance
  • Represent the unit before senior management committees and decision-making bodies
  • Represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements with external partners and organizations
  • Serve as an expert advisor, subject matter expert, resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Interpersonal Savvy
  • Strategic mindset
