About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare, document, and process simple/standard intercompany transactions/journal entries as defined by the monthly closing checklists and Intercompany Accounting policies and procedures.
  • Communicate regarding monthly cutoffs and month end processing with other teams within Global Business Services and with division finance personnel on monthly basis.
  • Interact with division finance personnel regarding simple/standard intercompany adjustments, – one-off journal entries, etc.
  • Ensure that all supporting documentation is properly filed and stored in accordance with policy.
  • Complete standard intercompany account reconciliations by policy due dates and perform timely follow-up and resolution of reconciling items to maintain proper balances in the general ledger.
  • Set up amortization schedules for prepaid items.
  • Complete designated reports and submit to divisional, corporate, or other Global Business Services contact by defined due dates.
  • Respond to divisional, corporate, and other Global Business Services area inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, other accounting regulations, and internal policies.
  • Submit ideas and feedback to the team for process improvement.
  • Cross-train with others as assigned.
  • Notify manager of process or procedure issues that are contrary to Dentsply Sirona or Global Business Services objectives on daily basis.
  • Complete all other assignments or projects as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 years of experience in accounting, relevant experience with accounting in an SSC is an advantage
  • One to three years related experience and/or training.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office users (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • ERP systems such as Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or SAP a plus
  • Business Accounting software a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization.
  • Motivated self-starter with strong communication, organization and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Advanced written/oral communication skills (English speaking required).
  • Comfort working in a global business environment that is undergoing process and technology changes.
  • Willingness to work as a team to cultivate change and process improvements.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to identify problems involving several variables in a variety of situations.
  • Ability to write procedure manuals.
  • Continually seek and embrace process improvements.
  • Provide timely and accurate information and solutions.
