About the role
- Drive continuous improvement activities by forming and leading teams to improve safety, quality, cost, process reliability and throughput.
- Use Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Poke Yoke, SMED and 5S to identify and eliminate process waste.
- Implement improvement initiatives and work with relevant groups to establish metrics and communication systems to sustain gains.
- Be highly involved in achieving a 5% annual gross reduction in COGS and product-related initiatives.
- Organize and lead Kaizen events across the site, often multiple teams at one time.
- Empower teams, foster a culture of process optimization and customer focus.
- Keep updated on global information such as demand or technical updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or Technical specialty, or equivalent level of relevant experience is required.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience from a manufacturing environment with a process and product improvement focus.
- Alternatively: minimum of 2 years in Operations Leadership in a lean high-volume production environment with Continuous Improvement activities.
- An equivalent combination of education & experience will be considered.
- Excellent communication skills; experience presenting and selling concepts to senior management.
- Proven experience creating a collaborative atmosphere between different functional teams.
- Conflict resolution and teambuilding skills.
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills, leadership and project management in English and Swedish.
- Experience in ISO/FDA Medical Device preferred.
- Knowledge and application of Lean tools (Value Stream Mapping, Poke Yoke, SMED, 5S).
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to organize and lead Kaizen events across the site.
