About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review and analyze conflicts information provided by lateral candidates
- Identify potential conflict issues and provide resolutions
- Utilize databases to review conflicts of interest reports
- Facilitate resolution of potential conflicts for incoming portable work
- Advise on necessary waivers
- Assist in drafting waivers and engagement letters
- Communicate with department leadership on complex conflicts questions
- Maintain accurate records of conflicts resolutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- JD required
- Licensed to practice law
- At least 3 years of legal experience
- Prior experience working with law firms or corporate legal departments
- Experience with conflicts analysis strongly preferred but not required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work productively with firm personnel at all levels
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Negotiation and influence skills
- Strong legal research skills
- Knowledge of Intapp conflict checking and ethical wall software a plus
