About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Take full ownership of the day-to-day operation, configuration and integrity of 3E and related systems
  • Ensure systems support firm-wide pricing, billing, matter management and revenue processes
  • Oversee e-billing platforms and client portals, ensuring compliance and smooth submission
  • Maintain strong controls around data accuracy, financial integrity and system balancing
  • Lead system upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and UAT planning and execution, partnering closely with IT to deliver changes
  • Drive financial and management reporting (3E, SSRS, Power BI) to support decision-making
  • Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements
  • Support governance, audits and risk frameworks through robust system controls and documentation
  • Provide leadership across finance systems resources and act as a trusted adviser to the CFO and Finance leadership team
  • Partner with a wide range of stakeholders including CFO & Finance leadership, IT, PMO, Partners, Legal teams and Business Services, as well as external vendors.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-4 years’ hands-on experience with Elite 3E within a large professional services environment
  • Proven experience in a system ownership or leadership role (not just support)
  • Experience managing or mentoring a team
  • Strong understanding of matter management, billing, e-billing and complex financial workflows
  • Advanced capability in SQL, reporting tools (SSRS, Power BI) and Excel
  • Experience delivering system upgrades, enhancements and data quality initiatives
  • Strong communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented and analytical, with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
  • Legal industry experience is highly regarded.
