About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide effective and professional team support and coordination across a wide range of needs from managing partners’ diaries to typing legal documents and assisting with compliance matters
  • Liaising directly with clients to organise meetings and events and communicate with them on administrative and certain file matters
  • Taking charge of the team’s monthly billing process and managing certain client engagement requirements such as file status reports
  • Assisting team authors with settlements and property transactions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A proactive approach to your work with the ability to show initiative and work on tasks unprompted whilst anticipating the needs of the team
  • Impeccable time management and ability to prioritise workflow to meet deadlines
  • Highly tuned administration skills
  • High standards of professionalism, including communication, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong team mentality, skilled at fostering and building internal and external relationships
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and commercial sensitivity
  • Diploma in legal secretary studies or other tertiary degree
  • At least three years’ experience in a similar secretary or assistant role.
  • At least twelve months’ experience as legal secretary, ideally in a property/real estate team and experience completing monthly billing
  • Previous experience and proficiency using Landonline, PPSR and ADSL
  • A confident user of the Microsoft Office suite
