About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Acting on behalf of several of Australia's major banks and non-bank lenders on secured and unsecured recovery matters
- Managing a portfolio of files
- Preparing and issuing legal documents, including statutory notices and court documents
- Acting as first point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communications via specialised online web-based portal
- Outbound and inbound calls with defaulting customers
- Liaising directly with customers in relation to sensitive financial matters to come to suitable arrangements
- Working with lawyers to progress matters through Courts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extremely well organised with superior drafting skills
- Close attention to detail
- Ability to handle a large workload
- Must work in a friendly team environment
- Must be self-motivated and driven
- Professional outlook and phone manner
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with sensitive matters
- Law students should only apply if they have 2 years (or more) left on their degree and if they can commit to a minimum of four working days per week
- Previous experience in secured or unsecured recoveries is favourably considered
