About the role

  • Day ‑ to ‑ day accounting operations, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
  • Ledger maintenance and ensuring compliance with accounting standards (AASB/IFRS).
  • Prepare daily cash flow reports, monitor cash movements, and provide recommendations based on cash flow outcomes to support decision making.
  • Complete month ‑ end close process including monthly P&L reviews, variance analysis, and commentary against budgets
  • Assist in the preparation of board reporting packs and management reporting
  • Review all monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules prepared by junior team members.
  • Provide financial information and analysis to support budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and firm policies, as well as tax compliance and other statutory obligations,
  • Coordinate external audit activities and prepare audit documentation.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and review of their work.
  • Deliver end ‑ to ‑ end Partner Services, including onboarding, offboarding, and all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual processes.
  • Manage the Partner Services inbox, ensuring timely, accurate, and service ‑ focused responses.
  • Maintain and assist with partner remuneration, benefits, documentation and records.
  • Process monthly and quarterly partner ‑ related transactions such as drawings and top ‑ ups, ensuring compliance with ATO PCG rule 2021/4.
  • Support year ‑ end profit distribution and tax ‑ related processes, including preparing annual partner tax packs statements, draw and top up statements, and dividend entitlements calculations.

Requirements

  • CA or CPA qualified with 5+ years’ experience ideally within a large professional services firm.
  • Sound understanding of management accounting, cash flow, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Experience using a Practice Management System (Preferably 3E)
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engagement effectively with senior stakeholders and work collaboratively within a team.
