About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supporting month-end reporting processes and ensuring reporting deadlines are achieved
- Preparing and taking ownership of balance sheet reconciliations
- Producing Company, Departmental, and Regional Profit & Loss reports
- Assisting with year-end statutory audit requirements and responding to audit requests
- Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts, tax returns, and national statistics submissions
- Assisting with annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Working closely with the analyst team to understand business performance drivers
- Supporting financial analysis for new business initiatives and strategic projects
- Conducting variance analysis and working with budget holders to review performance
- Producing ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making
- Building strong working relationships with stakeholders across Head Office and field-based teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Actively studying towards an ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and complex formulas
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage priorities effectively and work independently
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to work with both finance and non-finance colleagues
- A genuine desire to learn and build a successful career within finance
- Exposure to Power BI or other business intelligence tools is desirable
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP systems is desirable
- Experience manipulating and analysing large data sets is desirable
