About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive the technology evaluation, maturation and development to meet mid-to-long term business needs in alignment with roadmap and vision
- Act as key contributor to drive the technology roadmap as well as implant and surgical sub-roadmaps
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships and collaborations with key opinion leaders within ENT
- Execute make or buy assessments and evaluations
- Secure and attract research collaborations and funding opportunities for strategic priorities and collaborations
- Research representative of Oticon Medical both external and internal
- Promote Oticon Medical as a scientific partner externally
Requirements
What you’ll need- MSc or PhD in mechanical, biomechanical, biomedical engineering or similar
- 10 years’ experience in leading technology and research projects within implantable medical devices and experience with active implantable medical devices is required
- Substantial industrial experience is required
- Demonstrated success in translation of medical device research and concepts into product development and clinical efficiency
- Track record of successful multi-disciplinary collaborations with researchers and key opinion leaders
- Experience dealing with clinical considerations during technical development
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
