About the role
- Define the strategic direction for Oticon Medical's global distribution and drive its execution, in alignment with the broader Operations strategy
- Contribute to shaping the future global Operations roadmap and lead cross-functional projects to bring it to life
- Establish and manage the annual logistics budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and rigorous follow-up on execution and compliance
- Lead the end-to-end insourcing project to transfer global distribution from our external partner to our Vallauris site, coordinating closely with key stakeholders including IT, Sales, ERP administration, Finance and other relevant functions
- Recruit and build the on-site logistics team in Vallauris to manage central distribution operations
- Oversee the full outbound distribution chain from Vallauris — covering order receipt, picking, packing, shipping, customs clearance, stock replenishment, local hub management and returns handling
- Secure on-time, in-full delivery to distributors and customers worldwide, maintaining a consistently high level of service throughout the ramp-up phase and beyond
- Develop, monitor and act on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement across all logistics activities
- Contribute to ERP validation for logistics and distribution activities
- Initiate and implement procedures to optimize flows and operations in compliance with medical device Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Ensure all applicable rules, procedures and regulatory requirements are enforced, and contribute to the analysis and execution of changes in line with regulatory and strategic decisions
- Design and oversee loaner programs for reusable product ranges
- Support commercial activities with robust logistics processes, including product returns, repair replacements and the management of a loan device fleet.
Requirements
- Master's degree (Bac+5) in Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field
- 5+ years of significant experience in logistics and distribution within an international environment
- Proven track record in financial monitoring and budget management
- Deep expertise in logistics and distribution operations, inventory management and loaner service programs
- Understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry
- Strong knowledge of customs management and international transportation regulations
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems
- Good command of accounting and financial principles
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a pragmatic, hands-on approach
- Demonstrated experience working within global, multicultural organizations
- Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage complex operational environments
- Ability to analyze complex situations, prioritize effectively and make sound decisions
- Skilled at influencing and engaging stakeholders across all levels of the organization to drive results
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
