About the role
- Conduct root-cause analyses for mechanical issues in released products.
- Perform impact assessments and implement design changes related to mechanical components.
- Execute testing and verification of mechanical modifications.
- Conduct Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) related to mechanical design.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality & Regulatory, Supply Chain, and other engineering disciplines inside/outside the team.
- Support all legal manufacturers operating under the Diagnostics Manufacturer Quality Management System.
- Focus on mechanical aspects of design changes and CAPA investigations.
- Collaborate with the Change Control Project Lead to manage interfaces with other teams (e.g. firmware and software teams).
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Having experience in medical device development or support is highly desirable.
- Are proficient in mechanical design tools (Diagnostics use SolidWorks) and testing methodologies.
- Having experience with plastic injection molding is an advantage
- Possess effective problem-solver and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team and manage multiple priorities.
- Fluent in English written/verbal.
